The hotel structure, location and room was fine. But the service and food was terrible.

I am very satisfied with the South American grand hotel and will be willing to go back there in April 2008.

The South American hotel was a good hotel with very comfortable rooms and a good location. I did try the Hydrotherapy which was excellent. Considering the price that we paid I thought that the hotel was very good value and would certainly consider staying at the hotel again. I had only 2 concerns with the hotel which would have made our stay more pleasant, firstly there was no social bar to relax after a day at the show, I realise that there was a bar on the 2nd or 3rd floor but this was very quiet and not really a social bar where you could arrange to meet, and relax. Secondly reception could not change travellers cheques so we had to find a bank to change the currency which was inconvenient. I enjoyed breakfast at the South American hotel which was very good with an excellent choice of food.

Room is very large in size and very clean and cozy, even reaches 5 star standards. In the front of the hotel is the grand and well-known Pearl River whose night scene is very beautiful.
Disadvantage: hotel doesn’t have western restaurant. There aren’t other restaurants around the hotel which can walk there.
