My wife and I stood here in Nov. 2008.The service is amazing. Staff really pays attention to need of their guests and for about 90 USD it was a steal. Our second night there the A/C began to malfunction . The hotel manager upgraded us to a deluxe and sent up a fruit and flower arrangement. The staff speaks pretty good english. All the major attractions seemed very close. I wont stay anywhere else when in guangzhou. Great views from the rooms and good shopping nearby.

We stayed 4 nights in early November 2008, after a week long Guangdong tour.
The hotel is large and grand. The room was very nice. The service was fine. Generally no issue with the hotel itself. The A/C didn't always work.
The issue I have is that it was literally a ghost town. We felt like we were the only ones in the hotel and we rarely saw any other guests. The staff out numbered us and it was very awkard. A number of the floors seemed to be un-utilized/locked off. Typically, I enjoy eating breakfasts at the hotel I am staying in but because of the strange atmosphere we chose to eat elsewhere.
I believe reason is that it is too expensive for the typical Chinese traveller, and the hotel is located in an area that would be odd for the business or international traveller.
I don't mind a quiet hotel, but this was so quiet, it seemed wierd.
I would not stay here again under the same circumstance.

Good location, excellent service, full facilities and helpful staff. I like it and I will stay in it if I come again.
And I liked the night cruise provide by WITHYOUTRIP very much. I have been to Guangzhou several times but never enjoyed it before. Thanks to their activities, I can see the beauty of Guangzhou and know a lot of friends from Brazil.

From the moment you enter this hotel you are in awe. Hotel is just over 2 years old built with an Egyptian feel in the foyer. We booked a deluxe room and on arrival we were upgraded to a deluxe suite. only one word can describe the suite. WOW.
The staff speak a little English but there was always at least one staff member on hand if the communication became too difficult. We were met at the door each time by a bell boy who would take us to the lifts , carry our bags right back to our suite. Here tips are not expected so the service was genuine. Highly recomend this hotel. Food was also excellent .
