We were recommended to go to this hotel as it is very well situated ( next to Beijing Road )
The lobby was ok for a 3 star hotel but the room was awful. Wallpaper was torn, and moldy, carpet was very old... bathroom not so clean.
It does have a nice restaurant on the 6th floor for breakfast .
We were supposed to stay for 10 days. We left the Hotel on the next day and stayed in a much smaller hotel accross the road , but cleaner.

Lido Hotel is one of the best places to stay in Guangzhou due to its proximity to the famous shopping area. You can enjoy the Canton Fair during the day and spend the evenings bargaining for knick-knacks.

I would assume that this hotel got its three stars rating from where it is located in Guangzhou (right in the heart of Beijing Road) and not of the environment of the rooms.

*With Great food restaurants at another alley.
*15 minutes walk to the City River view at night where you can eat food in the boat.
*clubbing is only 15 minutes walk away
CONS
But do not try the service of tour in the Hotel. tour guide service is lousy. and the bus driver is stingy. worst of all, they do not send you back to hotel after the tour. dropping you at another area and expecting you to travel back to hotel by yourself. LOUSY SERVICE.
